We are getting married on February 18th.
I just thought I would let all of you know at Single Parents Mingle that there is a success story upon us and Single Parents Mingle. In January 2005, I joined Single Parents Mingle in search of some friends that had things in common with myself. I feel that I am so lucky, I found a best friend and now my future wife. We have so much in common and I found the woman of my dreams. Besides finding the woman of my dreams both of us have a wonderful family together with my 3 children and hers. It's a common joke that we are the Brady Bunch. We are getting married on February 18th.
Anyway, I thought maybe you all would want to know.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would meet the man
In early September 2005, I joined SPM to meet other parents looking for companionship. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would meet the man I would soon be marrying. I met Dave, a single dad with a 2 year old son, who turned out to be just what I wanted in a future spouse. We have done lots of things with all of our children (5 total!) and our families just clicked right from the beginning! Our children adore one another as we adore each others kids as well. He proposed just last week while we were on our own little Caribbean vacation. We are now planning a June 2006 wedding. It's funny, neither one of us was looking for a life altering relationship but that is exactly what we found. I believe with a full heart, when you don't expect it, miracles do happen.

Hi, it is me again! Just writing to let you know our progress. We were married in Canada last Saturday! We had a beautiful ceremony and had all 5 of our kids in the wedding. It was a wonderful day! We are all happy and myself and my kids will be living here in Canada, all is good! Thank you again for your help - i.e. this site! We have both recommended this site to our friends and have no doubt that they will have the same success that we have found! Keep up the great work and let everyone know there is someone out there and you can definately find your soulmate online!

I just wantd to let SPM er's know that "Jangle" and I are offically an item. I did not think it was possible to find my soulmate, or the love of my life! But, I have. I did not think I would ever get involved in a long distant relationship, but he is so worth it. He is truly a beautiful man.

ANOTHER success story
Hello! I just wanted to let you know of yet ANOTHER success story from this website. We're getting married!! We met a year ago May 2, 2004 and we're getting married July 2nd of 2006. We've both never been this happy and our children are sharing the joys as well. Neither one of us have been married so it's even more perfect. We have one boy and one girl and they're six months apart. I know I couldn't have found him anywhere else. My sister tried to talk me into online dating for years as she met her husband online too. I just wanted to share my extreme joy and happiness with you and thank you for this website. I have sent
several of my single parent friends to this site and some of them, just like myself, have found a wonderful relationship.

To all those still searching -
"Chippie" & I, "Calypso", met on SPM last November 2004. After 6 months of chatting online and talking on the phone, I took the plunge and flew to Ireland in April and met the person my soul had been longing for my whole life. The connection was immediate and the emotion overwhelming. Two hearts that belonged together, but because of life,
circumstance, & geography, had until that point been ignorant of the others existance. If it were not for SPM, we most likely would have never discovered each other. We continue to fly back and forth at this point, but are planning a permanent change in the near future. It is possible to have everything that your heart desires if you are willing to do the work. Truly, madly, deeply is what we are. He is my muffin and I am his yummy-mummy and it's all thanks to this site and a 'lil bit O'luck'!

I really would love to thank you for having such an AWESOME site. Your site by far is the best on the web for single parents to get to know each other!! I have tried 2 other ones, supposedly well known, before I came on here and your site made my head turn to see what it had to offer!! Not to mention that I have met my other half, "MyBrat" on here!!
Since the moment we met, talked, chatted and talked on the phone--we rocked and communicated since the 'GET-GO'!! Although, she ignored me at first. Let me tell you, persistence REALLY pays off!! We live 1984.49 miles away, but know that we will connect very soon !!! Believe in us that 'Distance' is not an obstacle if you really want it to come true! : )
After months of knowing each other, we finally met and that completely sealed the deal! I have met other friends on here that just rocked! We all have two things in common:
(1) We are ALL humans
(2) We are all parents !!
When you really think about it, that is the most important thing that we cherish as parents! We are all on the same boat.
Our advice to you would be, just to be you! Don't try to change your image, thinking about the other person not liking you, just be you! I am/will recommend this site to anyone in our boat!

Married June 18th, 2005
Hello and greetings,
First and foremost, please allow me to thank SPM ever so much for creating this site, this has been a most inspirational journey that will forever echo within my soul.
In December of 2004, after reading a few profiles, there was one that had stood out from all the rest, "Rubio_01". It was just a simple hello followed by a "Have a great day" greeting card. The response and words that followed were like music to our hearts. The chemistry, the introductions, and telephone calls were amazing. At every moment of our meetings a quiet calm came over us and as days turned into weeks a meeting was created in January of 2005. She is from Providence, RI and I lived in Visalia, CA. She was first to fly the 3000 miles and stay for a week. It was a visit from heaven, a memory that we will forever be embrace. Two months later I was to visit her and when it was time for me to return home, we knew it was a relationship that needed to be forever. I asked her to marry me while on my knee's, as tears began to flow, a magical moment of acceptance and happiness ran like rivers throughout our bodies.
We were married June 18th, 2005 in the Calavary Baptist church in Providence, RI. We will now take that long journey back home at the end of August to create memories in our new home.
The most wonderful thing is that her three daughters and my daughter have now become a family. Now, after years of being a single parent and adjusting, we now have a foundation that we can call a family. Everyone was in the wedding and it was a a new beginning for us all.
To all that would like to find your soulmate, remember to find yourself first and never settle for less, for within you will be the road towards meeting your true love. To be able to create an unconditional love is the greatest gift of all.
