To all those still searching -
"Chippie" & I, "Calypso", met on SPM last November 2004. After 6 months of chatting online and talking on the phone, I took the plunge and flew to Ireland in April and met the person my soul had been longing for my whole life. The connection was immediate and the emotion overwhelming. Two hearts that belonged together, but because of life,
circumstance, & geography, had until that point been ignorant of the others existance. If it were not for SPM, we most likely would have never discovered each other. We continue to fly back and forth at this point, but are planning a permanent change in the near future. It is possible to have everything that your heart desires if you are willing to do the work. Truly, madly, deeply is what we are. He is my muffin and I am his yummy-mummy and it's all thanks to this site and a 'lil bit O'luck'!

EBSDADDY AND PEPPERBYTE: Married Sept 25, 2004
We met in 2003 and began dating in 2004. We began as friends talking about relationships & children then found that there were things more in common with each other then the people they were dating at the time.
We weren't quite sure how to combine families from different states and 5 kids ( 3 of his and 2 of hers) however, after the wedding on September 25th of 2004, which several members from the site attended & several viewed via webcam (thanks Troy) our lives are happily falling into place. It was rough working through all the technicalities of a long distance relationships and combining families, but IT WORKED !!!!!!!!

I met a great man on this website, and we have SO much in common. We help each other so much with our challenges from day to day. We spent hours on the phone before we met and when we did that's all it took. We both care about each other so much and are going to be together for a long time....

Things are "clicking" quite nicely.
I had been on Single Parents Mingle before for a few months as a paying member and nothing really happened. Then some months past when I was not a member, so I thought to try it again; this time with great success! I was only on approx. 3 days when I ran into firefly08. All I can say is when you find the right one, you will know it!
We have met as well and things are as they say, "clicking" quite nicely. There is even talk in the air of marriage. On one hand it is somewhat sad to leave, but on the other, I'm much happier. Lol! Hopefully this searching is over forever. I wish you all good luck with your search.

After 5 years, he is still my best friend!
Rob and I met on SPM in the spring of 2003. We shared a few winks, smiles, and emails. We both were too far away from each other to consider anything romantic and decided on friendship. I was in Vermont and he was in Minnesota. We stayed friends and chatted for three years and I eventually moved to Texas. One night, Rob and I talked on the phone for over three hours and something clicked for both of us. We knew this was it and we had to find a way to make things work. He flew to Texas in March of 2006 for a visit. By June of 2006, he flew back to Texas to bring me to Minnesota with him. We each have one boy from previous relationships and I just gave birth to our new baby boy on March 13, 2008. Rob and I were wed on June 21, 2008 and are still in Minnesota. I always tell him that he is not a perfect man, but he is perfect for me! I am so happy that I waited to get married until I found the right one. I truly feel that Rob is my soul mate and after 5 years, he is still my best friend! Thank you SPM!
